Guide for authors

Articles submitted for possible publication in DMGT should be written in English either American or British. Do not use both languages in one article. Articles poorly prepared will be rejected without delay. Also an article may be rejected due to the editor’s negative opinion concerning its scientific quality and/or insufficient contribution to DMGT fields of interest. It may happen even if some of the reviewers support the publication of the article.

To publish in DMGT authors are not required to pay an Article Processing Charge.

Reviewing Procedures

To evaluate each article we refer to at least two independent reviewers from outside the research unit affiliated to the author(s) of the article. At least one of the reviewers is affiliated to an institution from a country other than the country of the origin of the article. All reviewers are asked to disclose any current or potential conflict of interest including any financial, personal or other relationships with the author(s) ofan article.

Authors do not know the identity of the reviewers (single-blind review process). A review has to be in a written form and must contain a clear proposal whether to publish or reject an article (concerning the authorization of an article for publication or rejection). Reviewers give their decisions, as well as provide comments using the standard score sheet prepared by the editors. In the case of a conflict between the authors and reviewers an additional reviewer recognized as an expert in the field, designated by the editors, ultimately resolves the problem.

Plagiarism Policy

To ensure that the published content is original and trustworthy, manuscripts are verified using the Similarity Check System.

Dmgt style

The journal has its own LaTeX style - dmgt, please do not modify it. The design of the style makes it easy to use and the rules which should be followed are similar to the standard rules for publications in system LaTeX. More details and instructions can be found in dmgt.zip package.

Figures

All figures must be of good quality and in an electronic form,  entered in the article code or as an external files.

We recommend:

If you use drawings from external files, make sure that fonts used in them are the same as those used in your article.

Raster files (bitmaps; PNG or JPG files) will be accepted only in exceptional situations. The quality of such files should be sufficient to be printed at the resolution of at least 300 dpi (dots per inch).

We do not accept files in formats assigned to specific applications such as MS PowerPoint (PPT/PPTX) or Apple Keynote (KEY). Such files should be converted into one of the commonly used formats (metioned above).

Number of pages

The number of pages of an article is not limited, however, we ask for articles which do not exceed 30 pages in dmgt style.

References

There are few commands which simplify the process of adding the most popular bibliography items. In other cases one can use the standard command bibitem.

It is also recommended to provide doi numbers of the cited references. You can use the doi command located immediately after the given bibitem entry.
Note: we give only the doi number, without the website address, i.e. for the position  http://dx.doi.org/10.7151/dmgt.2345 we only provide the parameter \doi{10.7151/dmgt.2345}

Submission

Articles should be submitted via DMGT website, after the author's registration.

To successfully send an article, prepare the following items:

The status of an article is always available on our website (after logging in). In addition, you will be notified of any status change by email to the address provided during the registration.

At the stage of the submission the article does not have to be written in dmgt style. However, it should be in PDF file obtained from any version of LaTeX file, should have one-column layout and all lines numbered.
