Guide for authors
Articles should be written in good English either American or British. Do not use both languages in one article. Articles written in poor English will be rejected and will not be sent out for any review. An article may also be rejected due to the editor’s negative opinion concerning its scientific quality. This may happen even if some of the reviewers support the publication of the article.
To evaluate each article we refer to at least two independent reviewers from outside the research unit affiliated to the author(s) of the article. At least one of the reviewers is affiliated to an institution from a country other than the country of the origin of the article. All reviewers are asked to disclose any current or potential conflict of interest including any financial, personal or other relationships with the author(s) ofan article.
Authors do not know the identity of the reviewers (single-blind review process). A review has to be in a written form and must contain a clear proposal whether to publish or reject an article (concerning the authorization of an article for publication or rejection). Reviewers give their decisions, as well as provide comments using the standard score sheet prepared by the editors. In the case of a conflict between the authors and reviewers an additional reviewer recognized as an expert in the field, designated by the editors, ultimately resolves the problem.
The journal has its own LaTeX style - dmgt, please do not modify it. The design of the style makes it easy to use and the rules which should be followed are similar to the standard rules for publications in system LaTeX. More details and instructions can be found in dmgt.zip package.
All figures must be of good quality and in an electronic form, entered in the article code or as an external files.
- picture environment, PsTricks, TikZ or any other built-in LaTeX package for creating drawings,
- EPS or PDF files.
If you use drawings from external files, make sure that fonts used in them are the same as those used in your article.
Raster files (bitmaps; PNG or JPG files) will be accepted only in exceptional situations. The quality of such files should be sufficient to be printed at the resolution of at least 300 dpi (dots per inch).
We do not accept files in formats assigned to specific applications such as MS PowerPoint (PPT/PPTX) or Apple Keynote (KEY). Such files should be converted into one of the commonly used formats (metioned above).
Number of pages
The number of pages of an article is not limited, however, we ask for articles which do not exceed 30 pages in dmgt style.
Articles should be submitted via DMGT website, after the author's registration.
To successfully send an article, prepare the following items:
- corresponding author's name (with affiliation and email address),
- 2010 Mathematics Subject Classification (primary and secondary),
- manuscript in PDF file (the maximum file size is 10 MB).
The status of an article is always available on our website (after logging in). In addition, you will be notified of any status change by email to the address provided during the registration.
At the stage of the submission the article does not have to be written in dmgt style. However, it should be in PDF file obtained from any version of LaTeX file, should have one-column layout and all lines numbered.
If the article is accepted for publication, authors are kindly requested to upload:
- the article in PDF file and its source in LaTeX or AMS-TeX file (with all additional files like figures, tables, etc. if they exist);
at this stage of the editorial process, the article must be written (by the author) in dmgt style;
- the copyright for the article (License to publish) - the form to be generated on the article page.
